In our last webinar entitled  “Terminal User Interfaces with Haskell,” we saw Roman Gonzalez sharing his ideas and insights on this complex, yet amazingly beneficial technology. This month we have with us Aniket Deshpande (Software and DevOps Engineer at FP Complete) who will elevate our understanding and knowledge of Web Assembly in Rust.

This is absolutely important because unlike a few decades back, web browsers today have become extremely powerful and offer feature-rich applications boasting of real-time communication, location awareness, streaming media etc. Until recently, JavaScript was the only way to program these applications, but today, Rust offers some unique advantages.

Since it does not need any extra run-time environment to be executed, the size of the application is expected to be smaller and its execution faster. In this informative webinar, Aniket will discuss why Rust proves to be a potential choice for concurrent applications like web services, becoming a language that could be pervasive across teams, even for sharing of codes across domains.
